l        When the offer is too good to be true。( when their offers are too lucrative)

By Vincent from www.englishvincent.com

how to say it in English?

you can’t drink.

Is this all you’ve got?

you suck big time.

My granny can drink you under the table.

you are pathetic.

you shouldn’t have pushed yourself so hard. (

You just don‘
t know you limit, do you?

Nobody was pointing a gun at you.

You are a joke.

Now you know what it takes.

Who
s the daddy now?

Give yourself a break.

You just dont know when to slam on the brake.

By Vincent from www.englishvincent.com

2)       Dogs can keep their eyes off hot chicks in the street.

29)   You don’t need to do laundry for a dog.
30)   Dogs follow your commands. They sit/roll over after you say sit/roll over.

 By Vincent from www.englishvincent.com

1)     South Park

2)Family Guy

3)Two and a Half Men
Friends, How I Met Your Mother, Joey, Everybody Loves Raymond让我看其他讲就家庭、友情、爱情、工作的情景喜欢时觉得味同嚼蜡。如果Two and a Half Men的笑点有100度的话,friends只有40度。 . Two and a Half Men

4)Scrubs

5)Lie to Me
Tim Roth

6)My Name Is Earl

7)Mad Men

8) Hotel Babylon

Put Money In Bank

Stan
Do I really have to do this, dad?

Dad:
Stan, now more than ever you need to understand the importance of saving money. Stan

Stan
But grandma said I could use the money to buy whatever I want.

Bank Clerk

Okay, next, please.
好的。
Dad
Go on, Stanley.
Stanley.

Bank Clerk
How can I help you, young man?

Stan
I got $100 check from my grandma. And my dad said  I need to put it in the bank so it can
grow over the years.

Bank Clerk
Well, that’s fantastic. A really smart decision, young man. We can put that check in a money market mutual fund. Then we’ll reinvest the earnings into foreign currency accounts which compounds interest and it’s gone!

Stan
Uhh, what?

Bank Clerk
It’s gone. It’s all gone.
没了。

Stan
What’s all gone?

Bank Clerk
The money in your account. It didn’t do too well. It’s gone.

Stan
What do you mean? I have $100.

Bank Clerk
Not anymore, you don’t. Poof!

Stan
Well, what can I do to get back my –

Bank Clerk
I’m sorry, sir, but this line is for bank members only.

Stan
I just opened an account!

Bank Clerk
Do you have any money invested with this bank?

Stan
No, you just lost it all.

Bank Clerk
Then please stand aside for people who actually have money with us.

Bank
Clerk
Next, please. Hello, Mrs. Farnickle. How are you today? Making a deposit, are we? Great. We can just put that into your retirement at and make it go to work for you and it’s gone.

Mrs
Farnickle
What?
什么?

Bank Clerk
Sorry, yeah. That’s gone. Please step aside for people who actually have money with the bank. Next, please.

Stan
Dad!
爸!

Dad:
Hey, I’m trying to teach my son about the importance of savings. You already lost his money?

Bank Clerk
Oh, Mr.Marsh! Don’t worry. We can just transfer money from your account and into a portfolio with your son’s — and it’s gone! This line is for people who have money with the bank onlyPlease step aside.

lol My Ass

I can’t stand people who overuse the online shorthand" lol", lol. especially when it’s totally unnecessary to use it. lol. It can get very annoying when people misplace "lol" everwhere. lol. some people might think they are sorta hip when using  "lol" "lmao" or shit like that. lol. is that really the case? lol. what’s wrong with those people? lol. they can just lol my ass!lol.  a lot of people are actually faking it when they use "lol", or they are just utterly clueless about how affected and stupid they sound. lol. i seldom see a really wise and sophisicated person use "lol".  "haha" or "xD" sound a lot less affected.lol。

Can you give me your two cents? lol.

lol。 lol。 lol。 lol。 lol。

 By Vincent from www.englishvincent.com

1)      nothing is beyond the call of duty

Call=requirement,request, Call of duty是“工作职责要求”的意思。

2)      there is room for improvement.

3)follow-up inspection.

4) geeks

5) not a good career move

6) answer the phone within three rings in the future.

你pick up之后并讲话就是answer the phone, 记住:reply the emails, return the phone calls, respond quickly to customer’s enquires.

7) it’s a work-in-progress

8) I’m planning on going through the customer satisfaction report tonight.

Go through是check carefully from beginning to end(仔细查看,审查)的意思。

I’d like to go through the proposal with you over dinner.

Leave your stuff and let me run it by my CEO.

这里的run=run through,相比go through, run through是拿来跑的,所以相对来说不是那么carefully,而只是快速浏览以便发现要点和问题。

9) posh cutlery.

10) on shift

I’m off shift. Bernice在酒店、医院、工厂里工作,需要经常需要work shifts, 也就有go on/off shift。我们一般人通常是不值班的,一般都work regular hours; work 9 to 5. 。。

例句:I can’t get a taxi. they are changing shifts.
Bernice changed her shifts from afternoons to nights.
      Bernice

白班是day shift.

By Vincent from www.englishvincent.com

FYI Only。

Our company hired an outside firm to set up a computer system to help us keep track of the progress on major projects. The company gave us a presentation on how the new system worked. Afterwards, the employees got a chance to ask questions.
